Wal-Mart Compliment - Wal-Mart Vision Center
GILBERT, ARIZONA -- Many companies receive lots of negative publicity, and Wal-Mart is not without exception.
However, today, I have to commend their Vision Center. This was my plight: I wear contact lenses, Acuvue (Oasys) and the vision in my left eye is much different than my right eye. Much to my chagrin, yesterday, I ripped the contact lens for my left eye. Guess what? It was my last one!!! Yes, it was my fault for not realizing that it was the last one, and when I called my eye doctor for a replacement they could not help me! It would take 3-5 business days to get a new contact lens. They recommended calling Wal-Mart and various other Companies. After two hours of searching on the phone without any luck, I called Wal-Mart Vision Center.
The second superstore that I called had my prescription. They were willing to sell me a lens, but, because I was not a vision customer I would have to purchase a box of contacts (6 contacts/box) to be there in 3-5 business days. I agreed to the purchase. When I went in to pick-up the contact lens today, the receptionist for the vision center handed me the lens and told me it was on them....free of charge... without purchasing any contact lenses.
I have to say, after all of the negative reviews, I believe this time Wal-Mart went above and beyond for customer satisfaction.
