New Ford F150 Informative - 2004 F150 Extremely Uncofortable Seats

Review by fto on 2003-11-23
IDABEL, OKLAHOMA -- I haven't had a new truck in 19 years. I have had several new car though. All Ford Motor products and enjoyed everyone of them. Did have any problems with any new vehicles so far.

My current and only real complaint I have ever had that was worthy of a SCREAM!

I bought a new 2004 F150 STX regular cab truck. I naturally test drove it before purchase and noticed the seats were somewhat firm. No problem, RIGHT? Wrong.......

The seats are probable the most uncomfortable seat in a new vehicle that I have ever had.

I restored a 1965 Ford F100 that has a seat that's way more comfortable seat in it that my new '04 F150. Otherwise, I absolutely love my new F150 STX.

I think the seats feel like I'm sitting on giant cactuses. And the air conditioning is about as useful as tray of plastic ice cubes that have yet to be placed in the fridge

are you just digging for something to be wrong with the best new truck in the world! The seats are plenty comfortable, if you wanted cushy old man seats you should have gotten the Lariat!

There's no way I would spend my hard earned money on a Ford....Ford is cheap and their vehicles are way over priced!

I own a 1992 Accord and the seat is great. I bought a 2004 Accord and the seat felt like concrete, so I returned it and got my money back. Here is the scoop: car manufacturers now use polyurethane foam in car seats - it's stiff and pre molded WITHOUT springs, which has been the backbone of seating whether in your home or car. They have done this because it is cheaper and the foam can be recycled. I bought a 2002 Saturn and am having the horrible existing molded foam removed and springs and soft foam installed this week. I am hearing more complaints re: hard seat foam. I am furious that I wasn't given a choice. I say leave out the cd player and put the seat back the way it was. I can't sit on a cd player. I MUST sit in the seat, as it is the only contact that I have with the car.
Thank heavens that I still have my '92 Accord.
I am so angry that I can't sit in a newer car.
I would like to meet the jerk who thought this one up!!!!!!!
Your only answer is to get the seat re made.
Shame on the auto manufacturers !!!!!
