Whirlpool - Major Repair Issues
Cabrio 660 Sw1 Top Loading Washer
BROOKLINE, MASSACHUSETTS -- Bought a Cabrio 15 months ago after reading reviews and hearing good things about this premium washer from Whirlpool. My family has average use on this appliance. About a few months into it we started having error code f51 which is an unbalanced load. We would rebalance it and the wash would continue. We reasoned without an agitator in the drum the load was moving around more as a result. We called AE factory service 3 weeks ago and they told us that a sensor and our power board was defective. We had a bill for $355.00 to repair our premium washer with "6th sense technology."
I called Whirlpool and was told that the washer was only under a 1 year warranty (for a washer that we paid well over a $1,000.00 for). After pushing customer service to act they offered up the parts but we would have to handle the labor. I am very unhappy with my purchase of which a repair bill of $355.00, for the price of a basic washer. Whirlpool apparently doesn't stand behind the technology it is marketing to its customers for a premium price top loading machine.
The machine is sleek, uses much less water but has one heck of a repair bill... for normal usage.
