London Clocks and Curios Complaint - Did Not Deliver As Promised
We ordered a curio cabinet from London Clocks and Curios in early June, 2008. We put a $395 down payment on it. The curio was supposed to be delivered June 19. When we called that week to confirm, the guy told us it was still in the Warehouse in Montreal. He did say at this time that he wouldn't debit our account until the cabinet was on its way. I will give him that. He promised it would be delivered either the first or second week in July...so we waited. We called the first week in July and asked for it to be delivered on July 7 or 8 as someone would be there when it was delivered. He told us to call back Sunday evening to confirm. We called Sunday evening and he then said he misunderstood and the cabinet was "still in the warehouse in Montreal". He never offered any explanation as to why it hadn't moved from Montreal in a month's time. I'm not real sure they ever had it to begin with. So I canceled the order. They never did debit our account, so that's a positive on their part.
But this company doesn't need to make delivery promises they obviously can't keep. And they need to be way more customer service oriented. We were the ones who had to call and find out what the heck was going on. I won't deal with them again.
