Days Inn Complaint - Days Inn - Toronto West Stole My Money!!!

This was my first time in a Days Inn . As I paid $ 60 for my reservation in advance, my girlfriend paid the remaining $ 82 including the deposit. After paying, he tells her that he will not take a deposit. She thought she did not pay for it. As I was informed about this situation, I went to the front desk (I believe he was the manager) and spoke to him about this. He denied that we paid 82 dollars. He declared that we only paid $ 42!!!! I talked to him politely and told him to check his till. He says that it can never be wrong...and he said there is too much money for him to count. When I was checking out, I asked him that if they recheck their cash or if an audit is done soon...please contact me if you figure a mistake...he yelled that it can never be over or under!!!! And came up to me and shouted “You are really bothering me you know...I never took any deposit from you”.

It does not build up any sense to me. I chose this Days Inn location to try out the chain for the first time...and I have to deal with this baloney. I deserve my 40 dollars and this is WRONG! I expect something to be done regarding this because I do not want to make even a bigger deal out of this! I just want my money back!!

IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS UNFAIRNESS...PLEASE HELP!

What does the amount on your receipt say that you paid?
