California Casualty Auto And Home Insurance Informative - Poor service
OROVILLE, CALIFORNIA -- Was recently involved in an accident,it was the other driver's fault and his Insurance accepted responsibility, seem simple until I contacted my company, California Casualty, the agent handling my claim went on vacation and every time I called the company I got a different agent, their adjuster waited 5 days before revising the estimate that the body shop sent him, then reduced the claim by using used repaired parts for a 2006 vehicle which I was told was industry standard. Basically I was told that they could and would use repaired parts on my veh. that they deemed acceptable and that would put me back into pre-accident condition, when I complained that my vehicle had never been in an accident and the parts had never been damaged and repaired I was told that was the way the industry worked and was the only way to get my vehicle repaired unless I wanted to pay for the difference between the used parts and the new parts myself.
I called the California Department of Insurance and was told that was true. So anyone who thinks that an insurance company will get your car back to pre-accident condition is wrong.
