Dell Computer Corporation Compliment - Best In Class - Service / Support
LONG VALLEY, NEW JERSEY -- Bought my latest Dell about a year ago--great system right out of the box (even the Vista). Recently began having sound quality issues. Called tech support @ 6:00 PM last night. After giving the service tag number, it took all of 30 seconds to speak to a live person w/ flawless English. She remotely reinstalled sound card driver--no joy. She said a tech would be at my house in 2-3 days. He showed up at 10 this morning (parts had been overnight expressed) Installed new sound card-- No help. New speakers--voila. Amp had gone bad in subwoofer (apparently a rare occurrence). Fixed in less than 15 hours.
This is the fifth Dell I've had. Support had started getting me worried, but Michael is back. Son bought an HP laptop a couple of years ago/ what a disaster. Considered a Gateway last year, but gave up on them after backorder ran 6 weeks and still no system (this Dell arrived early, as did my son's Dell laptop replacing the HP). First class operation--great price, systems, and support.
