Honda Complaint - High-price Maintenance Of Honda
BRAZIL -- I am a recent Honda consumer. I just bought a Honda Civic EX about 1 year. The car is complete, with ABS, air-bags and lateral reinforcement.
A car bumped into my lateral and the car proved to be safe.
After that, I made quotation in 3 different stores, including a Honda Authorized store. I did not leave at Honda dealer because they listed 2 (two) left laterals, each one costing about 1000 dollars. I paid about 1500 dollars to get all the job done.
After about 5000 miles, I took the car to another Honda dealer, to check a noise on the bearings. Again another shock: 900 dollars for 1 (one) bearing.
I have a GM top-of-line that is already out of production, so parts are very expensive, but they cost less than half the price of the Honda Civic parts!
I called the consumer service at Brazil to talk about these prices. They said Honda dealers are free to give the price they like and did not care about my problem.
Since Honda Brazil does not care about losing consumers, I am giving a third (and last) try to contact someone at Honda who can prove that Honda´s cost maintenance is low. I expect a reply.
I am selling my Honda and having everyone know that the low-price Honda has cost maintenance over double the price of a top-of-line GM or Volkswagen.
