OneclickFurniture Complaint - Beware... Theft!!!
On 4/24/08 I purchased a dinette set through the web site oneclickfurniture dot com. I received an online confirmation e-mail from furniturebrandsgroup dot com on that same day. My bank account was debited for the full purchase price of $1,254.00 on 4/28. I called the company on the week of 5/18 (866-834-2566) to complain that I had not received the merchandise and received an e-mail from "Suzie Walker" (firstname.lastname@example.org, 877-383-7997 ext. 209) telling me the order would be shipped on 6/27.
I e-mailed her again on 6/27 to obtain my order's tracking information and she responded on 7/1 that the order would be shipped on 7/11. I called them again on 7/18 and received an e-mail from [snip] (email@example.com) telling me the order would not be shipped yet. I was not given an estimated date of shipment. I requested an immediate refund via e-mail and via phone (866-834-2566) and received an e-mail confirming the cancellation (firstname.lastname@example.org). I e-mailed [snip] to all her e-mail addresses on 7/23 to find out why my account had not been credited yet and received no response. I called her on 7/24 and she then sent me an e-mail stating, "We have attempted to electronically refund your account for your cancelled order.
However since we do not use the electronic terminal we once used to bill you, we were unsuccessful" and telling me to initiate an inquiry with my bank. My bank, on the other hand, cannot do anything about this issue since the transaction took place over 90 days ago. I called her again and she then sent an e-mail saying that they would issue a check in 6-8 weeks and that my check would be going out on 8/30. At this point, I am convinced she is lying and I believe they never had the intention of either delivering the merchandise have or of returning my money. The following web sites associated with this company have a note stating that they can no longer accept orders:
Furniturebrandsgroup dot com and Everydayfurnishings dot com. The following web sites are still active and use the same web site design and photographs, so they seem to be a front for the same company: Oneclickfurniture dot com and Shopsmartfurniture dot com.
I'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM OTHER FOLKS WHO HAVE BEEN ROBBED BY THIS COMPANY. I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO THE FBI, BBB AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND I WANT TO BRING THEM TO JUSTICE.
