Georgia DMV Complaint - Bad Customer Service
GEORGIA -- I have recently moved and noticed that I could change my address for my license online. I overlooked that I needed have my address changed with the post office 2 weeks prior to submitting my request to change my address on my license. I changed my address with the post office the same day that I submitted the request for my license. I received my confirmation from the post office over the weekend. Today I received an e-mail from the DMV stating they could not complete the request to change my address on my license, and I would need to call the customer service line. I call the number and the voice the greeted me was not friendly at all and told me I would have to come into the DMV to have my address changed. I was fine with that, after I got off the phone I searched for the nearest location and tried to find the number to see if I would need to bring a bill or something of that sort to prove I had moved. I couldn't find a number for the location so I called the general customer service number back.
Again the person who picked up the phone (I'm almost positive it was the same person) was not very friendly. I asked her if I would need to bring anything and she quickly stated no and said ok well have a good day...and I was in the middle of talking to her and I was in the middle of asking her if I needed to make an appointment when she started to end the conversation and then she stopped and before I finished my question she said NO you do NOT need an appointment very rudely and then proceeded to end the conversation without seeing if I had any further questions.
I personally work in customer service and this is not how I would treat someone trying to ask a simple question!
