, MEXICO -- I agree with the "unscrupulous business practices" review from an earlier poster.
I believe that DI gave me an inferior diamond than what they showed me loosed in the store also.
Their in-store, signed appraisal had color "L" whereas the EGL certificate had "S-T." The salesperson told us we were getting L. We were never shown the EGL certificate until after the purchase.
When I noticed the discrepancy later, the customer service told me that the appraiser made a mistake and was trying to write "LY" for "light yellow."
However, the appraiser did not use these categories for the side diamonds. Those were graded on the standard scale.
Also, the customer service is a total run-around.
DO NOT BUY FROM Diamonds International.
