Qwest Informative - Beware Of Dishonest Sales Practices
DULUTH, MINNESOTA -- I called to set up a DSL account with Quest. The sales rep talked me into the Platinum plan that included a free modem (she assured me it was wireless) and three months of free service. My going in plan was to go cheap with a lesser service, but with the free modem and 3 months I'd get a better plan at the same price. Sales rep assured me that I would not even see a bill until the 4th month.
I received the first bill after 5 weeks. No free three months service, $70 for the modem + $15 Shipping.
Several calls to customer service. Like other posters, long hold periods between discussions with the "loyalty" person. Best they would agree to was a $40 credit due to the "misunderstanding" on the wireless modem on a $204 bill; I had expected to pay $0.
They lied, I am working to rid myself of all business with Qwest.
