Comcast Corporation Complaint - Customer Service My Foot!! The Service Is Worse Than Horrible!!
PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY -- Do I start with the 1 hour phone call because none of the sales reps knew what district my address was assigned in NJ? Come on people, NJ is not that big a state! I got bounced around 5 times until the battery finally died on my cell phone.
Next day - go online to place order since the last agent told me the specials on their website were only available online - a fact not mentioned on the website. Things were going ok with the online order until I was connected to a Live Chat operator from Manila. She asked the exact same questions I had already filled out online, then asked for my Social Security number. I gave her my last 4, which she said was unacceptable. THIS IS ILLEGAL AND AGAINST THE PATRIOT ACT. ONLY THE LAST 4 SHOULD BE REQUIRED UNLESS IT INVOLVES THE IRS OR A BANK. In this age of identity theft, Comcast should be a lot more sensitive to this issue.
Installation day - the guy shows up 30 minutes early and says he can't wait for us to get home! Nice!
Day after installation - I can't get Fox News Channel or CNBC. When I call, they tell me the digital box isn't registered. WHAT??????? I have a receipt with the registration number on it. Every time I get mad, I get disconnected.
I could go on, but I think by now you get the idea.
PLEASE WRITE TO YOUR LEGISLATORS DEMANDING MORE ACCOUNTABILITY OF CABLE COMPANIES AND DISSOLUTION OF THE CABLE MONOPOLIES IN GENERAL.
