Travelocity Complaint - Unreliable And Unapologetic - Airline Ticket
TAMPA, FLORIDA -- Am so bummed and frustrated with Travelocity its just unfathomable...I booked a ticket for my parents in July 2008 to visit us for 6 months sometime in 2009..
Both the tickets were confirmed(got an email that stated the itinerary was confirmed but not ticketed yet).. After waiting for 8 hrs, I called them back to ask why it wasn't ticketed and Travelocity now wanted more money since the price of the tickets had gone up in the mean time(price change was 800 dollars more than what I paid, my credit card was already charged for the original amount)...I said this was ridiculous..Why would I pay 800 dollars more??
They were persistent in trying me to agree to either changing my itinerary(for comparable fare) or to get my credit card information, my mailing address and so on for existing reservation...I refused to give them any information than what they already had...
After being on the phone for 3 hrs and talking to a supervisor, I was told Travelocity will bear the difference in fare and that I should get ticketing information in about 4 hrs...
24 hrs goes by! and no one from Travelocity has called me back...where is the customer service??
Anyway, after subsequent 4 calls each of them lasting for 3+ hrs, each time an agent would give me ridiculous reason(such as airlines don't have baggage agreements, travel department is backlogged etc) I was told to wait 24-48hrs to wait for confirmation that the itinerary was ticketed..
Orbitz/Priceline usually will confirm your reservation and ticket-it in about 2 hrs so asking me to wait another 24-48hrs is just unacceptable..
I would ask everyone to stay away from Travelocity. I give them an *F* grade..
