The Home Depot Complaint - Poor Poor business tactics
AUGUSTA, MAINE -- The Home Depot has taken advantage of us by holding on to our money for months at a time with no product in hand. When asked for our money back they refused. They have made numerous mistakes to our account financially. Items were on our account that we did not order. They have dropped off items at our front door that we did not order and now refuse to pick up. The manager out right lied to us about finacial issues related to our account so that the Home Depot could reap their money for themselves. A customer service employee at the store, who does not even like the company she works for, actually handed us the name of the district manager encouraging us to complain.She actually called her co-manager a pig and stated that she hated the manager. Talk about low class professionalism. Oh yes and by the way, we spent almost $40,000 with The home depot for our home. I thought the motto was "You can do it, we can help" It now reads like this. " We have taken your money and NOW we won't help.
I believe that a class action law suit needs to happen in order to help them to see the BIG picture, otherwise they will keep ripping people off as long as they can get away with it. My husband and I just can't believe how a company like this, that is very aware of its declining business, can not have the sense to try to turn themselves around to make things better. You certainly don't treat people who have spent thousands of dollars, even one dollar, with you in this manner. As L.L. Bean would say, "Treat people like human beings and they will come back for more."
Just last evening I walked into Lowes to find excellent customer service. I told the manager if only their new store had been here in Augusta Maine 2 years ago.
It is really a sad disheartning feeling when we have invested alot of time and money into the home depot store to be literally booted out to the curb and told to get lost.
Just one last thing... For the past 5 months or so, we have been dealing with the Corporate office to try and get this resolved. The situation is going in circles and they have done nothing to help us. At one point I wondered if this was really their corporate office??
