Best Buy Complaint - Computer
WARWICK, RHODE ISLAND -- I recently purchased an Hp Pavillion dv2945SE. The specs looked good 4gb ram, 320gb hard, nVidia gforce graphics, webcam, etc. Well first of all I had to call HP to figure out what I had. There were 2 product names on it 2500 and 2495se: problem was, when I pulled up my DXDIAG it told me it was a 2700 turns out it is the 2495se. The reason I needed to know was to update my drivers.....etc. Reason being....this thing can't get out of it's own way....I don't know if its NORTON or what, but upon checking my email the computer froze for over 20min. This was the 5th time in the 2 days I've had it that I had to shut it off and reboot. I called BESTBUY and spoke to the GEEK SQUAD ( who can't help me over the phone) and they told me that Best Buy won't cover the comp. or take it back if I installed something wrong, and that The GEEK SQUAD WILL CHARGE ME JUST FOR LOOKING AT IT to see if It WAS MY FAULT OR NOT! BULL.....I will NEVER buy from BEST BUY again. Walmart has my vote 100x over....No questions asked they will take it back and give a new one or money back. Not to mention I purchased an ACER in the past from WALMART and loved it. I had a problem with a know issue...out of date driver.....Walmart hooked me up with ACER ( who has one of the best customer service departments I have ever delt with) They walked me through everything and then guided me to INTEL'S website to update my drivers. I highly recommend buying from Walmart first of all...Second of all I have nothing but good things to say about ACER....With a quarter of the specs it ran better than my HP....3rd and last...I was warned by a co-worker not to buy anything from BESTBUY as their return policy was nearly null and void. Forget BESTBUY.
