Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. Complaint - Difficulty Paying Bill Online
MARYLAND -- I went online to Liberty Mutual's website to register my new personal liability policy and pay the premium. I kept getting error messages so I called customer service. The rep verified it was a valid policy and didn't know why I couldn't register it. I asked for tech support. After being on hold a very long time she gave me phone number that she said was for tech support. It turned out to be an agent who wanted to sell me a policy.
On my own, I located the tech support number and was told that this type of policy cannot be paid online. Why didn't the rep know that? Also, they had the wrong amount for my homeowner's policy.
Of course, the amount on their web site was too high which they verified but never got around to correcting.
