Sears Complaint - (UPDATED) Very Poor Service Never Do Business With Sears! (UPDATED)
HOWELL, NEW JERSEY -- I asked for service on my A/C unit. I first received a call that a serviceman would be out by 10:30 am. (This was at 8:30 am). At 3PM, when I was getting desperate, my second choice of company arrived. This company was giving me an estimate. Sears arrived and refused to do business with me. The "salesman" who just happened to tag along with the serviceman did not let the serviceman speak or enter my home. The salesman ran off in a huff, and now I am being billed 170.13! for a service call that did not take place.
They walked away from the job, not the other way around. I did not get any billing or paperwork, and now I was automatically put into collections. I did not know anything was taking place until today. Very Poor Business in my opinion. I have spent 8 hours today on the telephone, with only the reps calling me a criminal, liar, and scam artist! I thought Sears was a good company with a good reputation.
I was tears by the end of the day with the poor treatment I received. Now I will have to pay, but hopefully my credit card will help me dispute this. I also had a great deal of trouble understanding the service reps on the phone, the majority of them were Mexicans, who had poor command of the English language.
