JetBlue Complaint - Flight Cancelled - Charged 2x More To Switch To 2nd Flight
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- Our flight was cancelled and blamed on the weather - yet every other airlines completed flights to the same city. We were told we would be switched to another flight and then got charged 2x the original amount.
My pregnant wife and 3 year old daughter were told that they would be put on the next flight - 3 days LATER! No hotel would be offered.
No transportation would be offered. I think it ridiculous that an airlines can strand pregnant women and a small child in the airport for 3 days!
We called the 1-800 number to speak to a manager and were put on permanent hold.
Per their bill of rights we should not be charged when we were re-accommodated however the re-accommodation was 2x the amount we originally paid, nor did we receive a voucher:
All customers whose flight is cancelled by JetBlue will, at the customer’s option, receive a full refund or re-accommodation on the next available JetBlue flight at no additional charge or fare. If JetBlue cancels a flight within 4 hours of scheduled departure and the cancellation is due to a Controllable Irregularity, JetBlue will also provide the customer with a $50 Voucher good for future travel on JetBlue.
So much for the bill of rights, we were told that the final decision was to not refund us.
