Hotels.com Complaint - Lies from Hotels.com
If you are thinking about booking with Hotels.com, think again. During an emergency situation, I called Hotels.com. Taking advantage of the situation, they told me that they only had one hotel room left in all of Chicago, at a Hilton Inn near O'Hare. Now, that seemed ridiculous, that in all of Chicago there was only one room left. However, under the current conditions (tornado weather causing airlines to cancel flights all day), I thought it may be possible. When we got to the Hilton near O'Hare, they said that they had no reservations for us, but they did have extra rooms. Calling hotels.com a second time caused us to find out that the hotel was actually near the Midway airport. Again, there were other rooms available in Chicago (first lie), and it was not close to O'Hare (second lie).
After calling them on this deception, they did not care that they gave us the wrong information, and would not refund us for this $225 mistake.
