Avenue Complaint - Customer Repairs - Internet

Review by rosebud64 on 2008-08-07
Resolution Update on 08/18/2008:
They sent the same repair guy out that was here the last time and he switched two wires around in the basement and my internet has been fine all week. I told him it was to bad he didn't do that the last time he was here, it would have saved me alot of aggravation. My huband said that was mean, I thought it was to the point, and maybe he'll do a better job for the next person down the road. I never got any reply to my e-mails I sent or an apology for all the baloney I had to put up with, not even from the repair guy. So much for the friendly home town service they like to advertise.
EDWARDSPORT, INDIANA -- I have had Internet service from Avenue cable for about 4 months now, it's about the only Internet service available in my area because our phone company has not upgraded our phone lines here to carry Internet service here. My service has been terrible, sometimes I have no Internet for days and they admit the problem in in there lines but can't seam to figure out what it is. So I call and call and they had the nerve once to charge $40 for the guy to come out and do nothing, and why did I get charged at all when they admit that the problem is on there lines?

I know a lot of people have problems with there service but every one I've talked to has told me that my case is extreme!

They called me today about the e-mail I sent and refunded me for the service charge. The lady that called said her supervisor told her to call me. I hope that means that the next person that has a problem with Avenue cable, won't have to go though what I did.
