Coyote Development Corp. Complaint - Contractor Took The $ Left House Undone

Review by victimofPhilThompson on 2008-08-08
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- I hired Coyote Development Corp. for landscape and remodel work on my home. They rarely showed up on time, then walked off the job and took a lot of $$ with them. I was handed bills for things that never were done,at the top of the bill it said "work performed" Really! There was some work completed that looks OK but it took over 13 months just to have some (not all) work done.

This company lied and scammed me. I have wasted lots of money and lots of time because of them. I hope they believe in karma. LIARS!

I had a similar exp with a company I hired to do some landscaping before I put my house on the market. The key is to ask for a written estimate to which both parties sign and agree to. Then when they screw you over, you have a case and can take them to small claims court. In my situation, since I'd asked for an estimate and didn't get one, and I'd saved all emails to and from, voice messages, etc., the owner knew he would lose and returned the down payment I'd given him (done in good faith before I'd seen the estimate, which btw is also a mistake!)

Contact your local Remodlers Council of the Home Builders Association in your town and file a complaint. Then be sure you contact the DA's office.
