Wal-Mart Complaint - Denied Public Service
WISCONSIN -- I went to Wal-Mart on 8/9/08 about 7:30pm on Saturday to the photo shop in Madison, Wisconsin on the east side of town, to have some photos enlarged to 8x10's. The clerk looked at my grandfather's photo and said he would not enlarge my grand father photo because it look like a pro photo. I said no the photo was at least 105 years old and was retouched up by my aunt on her computer to install parts of the face from many years taken ago.
He said he would not do it unless I get a release from studio, well I'm only 54, and the photo is 105 years ago. Where does this guy think I'm going to find someone from that day and time thats still living to get an release. Beside blacks did not take pro photos in that time and age much.
Then the clerk asked for the assistant manager, he came over to view all my photos and then added that he would not enlarge my father's photo because he was in an army uniform and this is always a pro photo. Well my father is dead now he would have been 82 years old today, I only have two photos of my father, one of him in his war uniform from the Korean war, and the other of him in his casket (dead).
I'm trying to make a wall of 8x10's in my home of all the Harvey's in my family in my home, five generations from my grandfather down to my grandson.
