Casual Living Complaint - $10 Off Coupon Costs $12.00 Per Month At Casual Living!

Review by Disaster Worker on 2008-08-12
GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS -- In July, I received a clothing/shoe catalog from Casual Living and purchased some shoes for a friend's birthday. After I placed the order, it said that I had a $10.00 coupon toward my next purchase, and since I wanted to order a casual suit, clicked on the link.

Once on the link, I noticed they wanted banking information, so I backed out of the link. Today I saw a $12.00 debit from my bank account for "Reservation Rewards" and called the 1-800 to find out what they were. They said on Saturday, 8/9/08 I signed up for this membership for $12.00 per month in order to get the $10.00 coupon. On that day, I was no where near a computer and did not authorize this membership. They immediately cancelled "my account" and promised a refund of the $12.00. When I got the email confirmation, they only cancelled my bogus membership, and do not plan to refund the $12.00.

I will be filing for a fraudulent claim at my bank, but warning: Casual Living clothes quality is good, but may cost you a bundle of money in unwanted "memberships".

Go to your bank and ask them to return the fraudulent charge. There is a time limit in which to do this, so don't delay.
