AT&T Wireless Complaint - Livid With Warranty Department
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- I purchased a Sony Ericsson Z310a in November of 2007 from AT&T online. The phone after three months started showing a dark circle in the middle of the screen, which gradually over a few weeks got bigger and bigger until it covered 95% of the screen to the point where you could not read anything. I never dropped the phone, got it wet, or exposed it to extreme temperatures. I finally found my warranty info and tried to call and see about getting it replaced. The customer service rep told me after what I had told him that the phone had physical damage and that it would not be covered under warranty and that I must have done something like pushed on the screen hard to cause it to go black.... WHY IN THE BLUE F*** would I do something like that to my own phone? Then he goes on to say we can replace it under my insurance that I pay 4.99 a month for but there is a 50$ deductible to replace the phone... which I wasn't told about when I added the insurance to my plan.
If I had known that I would not have wasted 5 bucks a month for the last 3 years at a total of 180 dollars... for the love of God. I could just buy a new phone after that plus the 50$ deductible.... I am absolutely appalled at the level of commitment to satisfying this issue with me.
I will NOT be continuing service with them after my contract runs out... I would NOT recommend them to ANYONE!
