Mohawk Engineered Flooring Complaint - Mohawk Wood Flooring

Review by nypat on 2008-08-13
EAST NORTHPORT, NEW YORK -- I notice that there were a few complaints about this Mohawk flooring. My daughter also lives in a townhouse that she purchased last year. This was a spec home and she paid an extra $5000 for the flooring that covers her entire first floor. When she first went to see the home the look of the wood floors really sold her to buy this home. A few months later she moved in. Cleaners came and cleaned the home before her move. She noticed that the floors had a filmy/cloudy look. She called her builder and they told her to just use the wood cleaner. In her paperwork from her closing, it stated that the floor was a Bruce floor and only use the Bruce Hardwood cleaner. She just recently found out that the floor is a Mohawk floor.

So after a year of trying to negotiate with the builder, the flooring people that laid the floor and Mohawk, she has gotten nowhere. She is ready to just put another floor on top of what she has because it looks so bad. It is a shame that customer service does not take care of their customers.

I agree Customer Service has gone down hill.It used to be they really wanted to keep their good name.Today it seems Mohawk really doesn't care. For their investor's sake they should clean house on their Customer Service. And sell better products like they used to sell.
