Budget Car Rental Complaint - POOR Customer Service

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA -- I visited California for a business trip ..I booked online to rent a car from Budget Rent-a-Car in the Orange county,CA Airport... We had the car for a week all went well and we dropped off the car in the airport and headed back to Chicago,IL.

Then we realized we missed our GPS in the car storage area in the front seat..Immediately after landing as we have 2 hours time difference here,we called the customer service from the airport itself but nobody responded,so we came home and I started to call the customer service as I am very sure I missed the GPS in the car..

A guy answered in the service dept and told us that this morning shift manager had received a GPS and he has kept tht in the locker room..He gave us a new number to contact him in the morning

We were so happy,we thought abt the way of shipping the GPS and all..Next day we called and we spoke to a very rude female staff ..she was harsh aand rash...SHh made us make abt 5 to 6 calls that day..still we did nt get a clear response ..She said nothing turned up and they know nothing about it...We knew the fact tht they lie...But wht to do????

After 4 days of speaking to atleast 7 to 8 employees.. They ended up saying tht nobody turned in any GPS...They gave a lost and found numeber after 4 days,at last after a week they said that "No GPS"..

But how come the first one we talked the same day we missed the GPS said something abt a turned in GPS.Yes we know tht its our fault tht we did not throughly check the car...But how come some people are like this???
