Yamaha Complaint - Yamahas Unconcern About Throttle Sticking

Review by Very pissed off on 2008-08-16
WESTMINSTER, COLORADO -- I have a GP800R wave runner that the throttle stuck open on after the lanyard came out. The wave runner went across lake by its self at about 30 mph before being run off lake by a boater luckily not hitting or killing anyone. Totaling the wave runner. I have called Yamaha several times they refuse to do anything, also have to call, several times just to get them to call back. Was told Yamaha made good machines and stand behind them, this is not true.

Would never buy any kind of Yamaha again, there products are not good, and very unsafe. [Yamaha buyers beware]

Seems incredible that you hadn't noticed the throttle sticking previously, or that the even would occur on the first occasion that you're dumped with the lanyard. *scratches head*
