Nextel Complaint - Cancellation - Service - Cancellation

TAYLORSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- We ordered phone from Nextel and asked that they not be sent till a certain date, so that my husband (who is a trucker)be able to come home, get phone,try it out, and send them back in time for the 15 day trial period. Well, first phones came early. Then, once out on truck phones did not pick up.My husband's work said husband needed a better service of cellphone.

So, we had to cancel.I contacted Nextel several times trying to get them to not charge us cancellation fees due to their mistake of sending phones out early and very poor cellphone service. They would not credit us anything. We had to pay $200.00 per phone. We did not pay it for awhile, so that I could get something resolved with Nextel.

We finally had to pay the cancellation fees, and we will never deal with Nextel again, We both deal with the public. If someone asks us about Nextel (or cellphone service), we send them to anyone else but Nextel.

Why would you order the before you needed it? Why didn't you refuse the delivery if they were shipped to early. Why did you activate the phone before you were ready to use it? Why didn't you go to a Nextel retailer if you were have unsure exactly when you would want to "try them out"?
