Macy's West Compliment - Three Very Nice Sales Women - Service

Service - Compliment
Review by birdamae on 2008-08-19
ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN -- I want to write this letter of commendation for 3 of the loveliest sales women I have ever encountered. I was shopping in Ann Arbor, MI at the Briarwood location. My first encounter was with Anne in the women's department. I was searching for a top to wear with my black slacks. Anne took the time to accompany me to another department to obtain the correct size, she reserved a fitting room for me, and in short, did everything she could to make me feel important as a customer. I ended up buying more than I needed because I was so impressed with her knowledge and willingness to help. My second encounter was with Pinkie. While I was in the fitting room, I lost my sun glasses. My "Armani" sunglasses. Once I noticed them gone, Anne suggested that I re-trace my steps.

I returned to Pinkie's department, and gingerly requested if anyone had turned in sunglasses. I was overwhelmed by the care that had been taken to secure my sunglasses in the event that I would return. My last encounter was with Georgia in the jewelery department. Extra special attention to helping me pick out just the right jewelry to compliment my outfit. This day, July 26, 2008, spent in this store was memorable. All the more so, because this kind of service is what consumers should be getting all of the time.

I was doubly impressed because this first class service doesn't appear to have hit my area yet. The Macy's that I shop, Brockton, MA at the Westgate Mall and Braintree South Shore aren't even close to this first class customer service.

Bravo Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Are you related to the Macy's East compliments?

I'm sorry for being cynical, but I really have to start questioning the legitimacy of these Macy's compliments. Sure, anyone can and do post compliments on the net, but these are becoming more and more routine.....almost scheduled. Birdamae, I apologize in advance if am am in error, but frankly, this seems like another move towards some great plan by some PR figurehead to flood the internet over time with Macy compliments.

Someone had questioned these in the past. One user stated they came to the site from a link on the Macy's site when you give feedback. Looks like they are tunneling positive feedback towards the site. My guess is it is legitimate, but they are only forwarding the good... and not the bad.

Very interesting. To actually direct positive feedback to a 3rd party complaint site instead of their own pages to enhance credibility. A little going gray area there IMO. Solid plan though. Send the good stuff here, and maybe the not so nice people to the recycle bin.

I can vouch for that fact that Macy's in Braintree and Brockton suck very much.

The original Macy's store in New York was the model for all great retail stores in world..I miss those days..

I agree OF, when we used to go to NY the wife always set aside almost a full day to shop Macy's. Have not been there for a couple of years but I doubt she would even go in the place now. She used to like the after Christmas sale at Macy's Union Square in San Franciso, but that's all over now too.
