Vantage Travel Informative - Beware If You Travel With Vantage
In April 4 adults signed up with Vantage travel agency for a riverboat cruise titled "tulips and windmills". Because both couples were celebrating a special occasion we contracted for a balcony room and we paid for our cabins in full. We were in shock when 2 months later we were called and told that they were switching boats and we would get a comparable room on the next ship. On the next ship which was older we would have to pay an additional 1,200 dollars more.
Vantage could not care less that we had already paid in full for our trip and should be entitled to a comparable room. They said that a comparable room meant on the same type of deck. Beware of traveling with them.
They have people in their office who don't return phone calls and when they do they give out incorrect information. Our travel plans were gone and this is one company who really didn't give a damn. To me it was bait and switch so they could get more money.
