McDonald's Corporation Complaint - Left Purse behind and money is gone.
ROLLING PRAIRE, INDIANA -- I forgot my purse at McDonalds on a Monday 8/18/08, as soon as I remembered it, I called (like within 10 minutes of leaving). We were traveling in motorhomes on our way back to Minnesota and weren't able to turn back. I called and spoke with Cassie, she went to where I said I left my purse and called me back within minutes to tell me that she found it right where I had left it and it was in the safe and would be willing to mail it that same day. Little did I know it wouldn't get mailed until the next day. I finally got it on Thursday, without the money (which was about $300.00). I have closed everything and put a fraud alert on accounts. I got a call from one of the managers today (Thursday) to let me know they mailed it, calling two days after it had been mailed? I already knew that it was mailed, as I had called back on Monday afternoon (it wasn't mailed by then) called Tuesday morning (Tiea said she would mail it that day) didn't trust her so I called back Tuesday afternoon to find out it was mailed by Angie. This manager that called Thursday @10:21 AM said they found it outside, when I told her what Cassie told me, she said she would look at the security footage right now and call me right back...still waiting 4:55 PM. I know what she will say when she calls back (if she calls back)...that the footage showed nothing, isn't that what she should say? What is hard to believe is someone took it from the restaurant (which is on the interstate)and is traveling they would leave it behind...duh they would take it with them, just in case the owner came back looking for the purse so they wouldn't get caught. The restaurant wasn't busy when we left, we were the only ones in there at that time and no one at the counter when we left. I left my purse in the window in the corner and the chair backs were high enough to hide it from view. I think that they should investigate those that had the combination to the safe. I should have my wallet dusted for finger prints to find the person that helped themselves. So much for honest people working at McDonalds.
One more thing...the skillet burrito was nasty, I can't believe they are trying to pass that off as good food.
