With all the complaints about credit card companies on this website, I just want to say that MBNA has really shined for me.
I have been with them for just over a year, and I called yesterday to order a supplementary credit card for my son who is moving shortly to another city for school. Unfortunately I was kicking my heels, and did not order the cards early enough. I asked the representative, Alicia, whether they could expedite the cards. She told me that it would cost me ten dollars to have the cards sent by courier and would take 48 hours as opposed to 10 days. What really surprised me is that Alicia, OFFERED to waive the ten dollar fee due to fact that "I sounded like a nice guy" and that my payment history was perfect.
I have 5 credit cards with different banks and MBNA really stands out with offering great customer service. Their call centers are open 24/7 and I always experience significantly less wait times compared to other call centers and their staff are knowledgeable about their policies and procedure and are a pleasure to deal with.
