Toys R Us Complaint - Exchange A Defective Product
TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA -- I have been shopping at the Toys "R" Us in Hawthorne, Torrance CA for over 4 years now. I went recently to exchange a toy that was defective. I showed my receipt and asked the manager to exchange it for the same product. He was very rude and disrespectful, and he refused to exchange it because it was open and we didn't have a box. I told him that the store is supposed to exchange an item if is defective or damaged, even though you don't keep the box. He kept refusing and being very rude. When he started reading the Return Rules posted at the store, he told me I could do the exchange. He didn't even Apologize for being so disrespectful and being wrong and wasting our time. His name is [snip], and I think he should not be a manager.
If something is defective the customer has a right to get the item exchange or their money back. I believe he was unjust and he saw a woman with a little boy and felt he could mistreat us. My son has Autism, and he was getting so impatient while this man was refusing to do his job.
This man should not be a manager or deal with people. I'll shop at TARGET OR BABY WONDERS in the future.
