DirecTV Inc Complaint - No show, ignorant installer - DirecTV hires them and you waste time waiting
MURRYSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA -- No Show Installs - Frustrating customers, is this the path you really want to take DirecTV and Ironwood? Ironwood is the company that insulates DirecTV from direct hits. DirecTV hires them and is responsible for their work.
Prior to contacting the Pennsylvania Attorney General and the local Pittsburgh, PA news stations I wanted you DirecTV to know DirecTV's reputation is growing. DirecTV sales were flat in the 2nd quarter of 2008, wait until you see the drop in 09. Incompetence, is the word I will now relate to DirecTV. I waited 4 hours today for DirecTV's/Ironwood's installer. No show, no contact, no nothing. I lost $250 today in contract work opting to wait for the Ironwood/DirecTV installer. $250 may not be much to you but it is to me. I spent 2 additional hours on the phone with DirecTV's customer service people. Although nice, no results. Word of mouth spreads quick on the internet, for good and bad service.
After a Google search I see that this is common, very, very common with DirecTV. Do something. I am at the point of changing providers i.e. Comcast or Dish Network. I made the following offer to several Customer Service Reps, but apparently they have zero authority. My offer: I purchase the equipment, install it. and receive reimbursement from DirecTV.
Why in the world would DirecTV's people not accept this as a solution/damage control? You would be bypassing the inept and ignorant installers who do not notify you they want to quit early.
