Mazda Complaint - Airbags - Air Bags Not Deploying

Did you only email the Mazda dealership, or did you contact their corporate office?

I dont usually recommend this . . . BUT, if your insurance will not pay and Mazda will not respond, get an attorney and get a consultation. Go into the office with all of your paperwork, police reports and insurance adjuster reports regarding your automobile. Make sure your attorney will have access to the car as this will be extremely important if you are going to prove that the airbags did not deploy when they should have. Please do your best to find a reputable attorney and not one of the snake oil salesmen you see on TV commercials.

was your accident a frontal impact type? if not, air bags will not deploy.

I agree with John. You need an attorney. Whether or not the air bags deployed or didn't deploy should have no bearing whatsoever on the insurance company covering the medical injuries.

A good attorney will get the attention of BOTH the insurance company AND Mazda if, in fact, the air bags malfunctioned.

I agree with everyone about contacting a lawyer, it doesn't matter what failed during the accident your insurance should still cover your bills and if they think that the car was defective then the insurance company takes the bill and proof of the defect to the car manufacturer to get their money back.

The airbag issue and the insurance coverage issue are two seperate things. You need to check your coverage and see if you were actually covered for what happened to you. If you had one of those minimal policies that advertise for keeping you legal, you may not have enough coverage for you and another vehicle. Airbags do not deploy in all accidents either. You need to provide some details to this complaint, Mazda makes a lot of different cars and has done so for many years.
