Pepsi Cola Complaint - Requesting Donations For Local Fund Raising Events - Donation Requests
Donation Requests - Complaint
Review by katiecamero on 2008-08-24
WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- My name is Katie Camero. I am a local business person in Jacksonville NC. I am also this years event coordinator for our local motorcycle club (Southern Cruisers, Port City Chapter 162) 6th annual fund raising event called "Run to the Sun" which benefits St Jude Childerns Research Hospital.
I contacted the Wilmington Pepsi Company and requested a donation. I was told to fax the information and I would get a response in 3 business days.
Being a local business owner I know that I receive quite a few requests for donations for local events, and that I can not possibly donate to every person who makes a request.
When asked I always just say, I am sorry I can't help you this year. Please try again next year.
After 2 weeks with no response from Wilmington Pepsi, I called to make sure that my request was received.
The person who answered the phone SHOCKED me, by how rude they were.
I was told, "Of course we received your request, If you did not hear from us it is because your not getting anything!"
For the past 25 years my company has served Pepsi products. I chose Pepsi because I have always received excellent customer service.
Never has anyone at Pepsi been rude to me.
I would have completely understood if the person had just said, I am sorry we are unable to help your event this year. There was no need for them to treat me rudely.
I just thought you might want to know this.
Thank you for your time,
Katie Camero
