E*Trade Complaint - Incompetence
Recently, my wife opened a joint account in E*Trade with her sister. Their intent was to deposit $400.000 and invest it jointly. Last week when I noticed that our personal account was showing up in the account she has with her sister, we called Etrade and talked with their agent and he removed our personal account access from the joint account that my wife had established with her sister. The reason for this is we do not want her sister to have access to our personal account. We find it incredible that Etrade would jeopardize our personal money in this manner. To exacerbate the problem, our personal account is now back in with the joint account with my wife's sister.
Because of what appears to be incredible stupidity, my wife not going to invest this money ($400K) in Etrade. While trying to open this account, Etrade repeatedly lost documents, failed to respond to requests and was generally incompetent!
