American Home Shield Warranties Complaint - Useless - Warranty

SUMMIT, NEW JERSEY -- I am currently on hold with a representative with American home shields warranty. I am writing this review because I am guessing it will turn out like the other 2 times I needed them... once was for a failed sump pump that flooded my basement... with more storms in the forecast I was told someone would call me in 48 hours to see when they could schedule someone to come out...

I'm in 2 feet of water and I needed to wait 48 hours for someone just to call let alone service me? Needless to say I paid a local plumber to come out the next day... the second was for a microwave..I waited for a call and they did call in about a day and scheduled me for a visit the next day... then failed to show.... the next day they again failed and I ended up just buying a new microwave as I have a large family and it was becoming a bit too inconvenient... today's problem is no A/C... I'm being told the perfunctory 48 hour message but since this is Thursday that means they have till Monday to call and then schedule a visit... ridiculous...

I could have saved the 500$ from the warranty and just paid for what I needed when I truly need it... NOW... not 48 hours just to schedule an appointment.

Since Monday is a holiday it probably won't be until Tuesday.
