Lustine Totota Complaint - Awful Purchase Experience

VIRGINIA -- We put down $500 to be on a waiting list for a Prius at Lustine. When our car came (3 weeks after it was scheduled) in the salesman called and wanted us to come in THAT DAY to pick up the car or they would sell it to another customer. I was out of state on vacation; my wife was working a 12-hour shift at an emergency room. We had our own financing, so it wasn't like $$ was a problem. I had it out with the salesman, asked that the sales manager give me a call, which he would not do. My wife ended up at the dealership after a 12-hour work shift and 4 hours of grad school just to meet their ridiculous standard of turning around a Prius within 24 hours of it hitting the floor.

To make matters worse, they failed to put in the floor mats we'd bought, failed to put in the manual for the navigation system, and wouldn't return calls for over a week.

CRAPPY policy-oriented dealership. Will never visit or price Toyotas with them again. They don't care about the customer, just selling cars.

Considering that the Prius is a 'hot' car these days I can't blame the dealer. But if you had a signed contract for a specific vehicle and the $500 was a deposit then it's a whole different ball game.
