Ashley Furniture Complaint - No refund
SILVERDALE, WASHINGTON -- I recently purchased a bedroom set for my daughter. I paid for the furniture with cash, and with a check. On the day of buying the furniture, I chose not to get one of the pieces as it wouldn't fit in the room. Instead of giving me the cash back for that piece, they gave me my check and had me write another check for the total price. They said that I would get a refund in about two weeks. Well, those two weeks passed by, and I then decided that I didn't want to buy the other pieces either, so contacted the store. Still I didn't get the refund for the first canceled piece. They then told me that the first refund would be combined with the rest of the refund. I have waited and no refund comes in the mail. They told me that it would arrive over ten days ago, and then said it would arrive by the end of this week (Aug 29, 2008) or by next week. It is the 29th of August , and still nothing has come by mail. The refund was supposedly mailed last Friday (Aug 22) from Texas. How was it sent? Snail mail?
I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Now maybe, they'll gt their act together. I doubt it though! They need to be charged with fraud! Don't buy from Ashley Furniture!
