Sears Complaint - Pooling Water In Rubber Seal Causing Mold
MASSAPEQUA, NEW YORK -- I have been a loyal and satisfied customer of Sears for 15 years. Last year my Kenmore washing machine which was at least 15 years old died. I then purchased the H2 washer and dryer set. From the onset of using the washing machine there was water pooling in the rubber seal. I called Sears and a repair technician was sent. They came to the conclusion the drain tube was in too far and was causing water to pool in the seal and mildew. I called again when the problem was not rectified and kept getting worse. Another technician was sent and I was advise to use white vinegar and bleach to rectify the problem. I then called again after these techniques obviously did not work, and was told the machine was probably not level. A third technician was sent and he then changed the rubber seal. Great, so I thought. That was nine months into my purchase.
Of course after my year warranty was up, in March, we started experiencing the same issue again, MOLD in the rubber seal. I called again and was advised that since it was not under warranty as longer, it would have to be repaired at my expense. So I intend to battle it out with Sears. There is such a health issue here that nobody is addressing..... MOLD ! ! ! ! I plan to fight it all the way. My clothes and towels smell like mildew after being washed. Sound familiar to some of you?
So anyone who is out there and experiencing the same problem, please be sure to speak as loud as you can, this is totally unacceptable ! ! ! !
