Radio Shack Informative - What Is And Is Not - Extended Warranty
I work for the Radioshack extended warranty company. I would like to let everyone know what is and is not covered at this time. Radioshack extended warranties do NOT cover ANY physical damages, liquid damages, lost/stolen products. The purpose of the extended warranty is to extend your OEM warranty. The warranty covers mechanical malfunctions and normal wear/tear issues. The wireless plans cover battery and accessory replacements 1 per year. The terms and conditions are spelled out clearly in the brochures, which are a legal binding contract between the consumer and Radioshack and cannot be changed. When you purchase a warranty read the fine print, because I assure you everything is listed. When you purchase the warranty, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions that appear in the brochures. It is your obligation as the consumer to know what you are purchasing. If the store representative that sold it to you lied about what is covered, then you need to speak with the manager of that store.
As the warranty company, we can only provide service based on the contract terms and conditions. When you call the warranty company for service, you do not have to yell and be abusive, we are all educated people that just go to work everyday like everyone else.
