Dish Network Complaint - Dish Network Customer Service Stinks
ARKANSAS -- Yesterday 9.03.08, I rented a pay per view movie for my 12 year old daughter. After renting the movie, it went straight to ERROR 002 (Signal Loss), of course it didn't let me know that until AFTER I rented the movie, 10 minutes before it started. So I called the provided 800 number given us on our monthly bill. I get a lady (And I have her name), I told her what had happened and that I just wanted to not be charged for a movie we weren't able to watch.
She then wants me to go through various prompts and such, when I told her again all I wanted was to not be charged for the movie, she tells me that "She understands but I need to do this as protocol" I'm annoyed but agree, she puts me through all kinds of "Press this, what does that say, now press this" for I'm sure at lease 15 minutes the very last thing being "Okay let's go to the Setup Menu" we went there she told me to press various numbers and let her know the readings, then something about a switch of some sort and she says okay let's exit out of there... When I did a box popped up that ask something about keep old settings or save new ones, she said save the new ones and then exit, okay I did. After we went through all that she tells me that she will leave a note about me not being able to view my movie but doesn't know if I'll be charged or not... okay well thank you.
After hanging up and pressing the guide much to my surprise...all my local channels and upper channels have disappeared...WHAT!? So my husband calls back and someone (you never get the same one) tells him that unfortunately when the representative told me to save the changes it erased that satellite from the transceiver, it know longer knows that satellite exists...WHAT!?? And we will have to pay 49.99 for a programmer to come out and reprogram that back into the transceiver...WHAT?!!! Of course he requests to speak to a supervisor, he was put on hold... 5 minutes later.. still on hold. He called back three additional times last night asking for a supervisor, again put on hold every time, supervisor NEVER picks up.
So today I call 3 times each time I'm angrier until I am yelling and demanding a supervisor (normally I'm very calm and sweet but I can only take so much) NEVER will a supervisor pick up...what do I do I'm at a loss do they win....??? Oh yeah I even went to their website and sent an email...to no avail.
