Tom Jumper Chevrolet Complaint - Very Rude Finance Dept.

ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- I found a Cobalt I really liked on Tom Jumper Chevrolet's website. So I bought my car for what it was advertised on their site in June of 2008 and had it for two weeks, so my parents offered to pay off the car so I could pay them back as I got money. So we returned and told them to take off the GMPP extended warranty plan (GM says you can do this whenever you want for a refund).

The finance guy goes back to re-do the contract then returns and blatantly and very rudely just says "We're not gonna do this deal." He claims that they lost money on the car and the only way to make any is for us to do the GMPP plan.

He went on to say that they had not turned the contract over to the financing company yet so as far as they were concerned the car still belonged to them and if I didn't want the GMPP plan then I could just take my stuff out of the car and leave it. He was nothing but rude and disrespectful to my parents and myself.

So I huddled with my family and we went with his contract, after my contract went to the finance company I called GM and canceled it through them for the GMPP refund.

I will give credit to my sales guy being good and trying to help, but the finance guy, I believe his name was Nick needs a lesson or two in how to deal with customers.

You should have let them take the car back. But I'm glad you did get the extended warranty undone.
