BURLINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- We took our mini-van to Aamco Transmissions for transmission repair because they are a national company with what we thought was a good warranty we could depend on if we needed it. Boy, were we wrong. At this point, I'm not sure they did any of the work we paid them $3,000.00 for as the van is experiencing the same symptoms it had before we ever took it to them. When we took it back to them while it was technically under warranty, they told us the symptoms were nothing to worry about and to drive it. Now that we are a whole 3,000 miles over the mileage limit, the symptoms are worth $1800.00 to them to fix. I really feel taken by this company. The owner will not even be professional enough to call us about the problem.
Aamco Corporate tells me they can't make him do anything that he doesn't want to do and he responds to a BBB complaint that Aamco Corporate would make him do the right thing if they agreed with me - which Aamco Corp. customer service told me they did agree with me. Somebody needs to get their story straight.
