Canon Complaint - Customer Care... Doesn't Care
As a pro photographer I had 1 two week window, my vacation, to get the sensor on my Mark III 1D camera. Shipped the camera a to their New Jersey facility with copious notes, instructions, a return airbill, home office #, and instructions that the camera had to be sent back promptly so it was there upon my return. What they did was put the camera on the shelf and didn't do anything. Didn't even call my home office. So, when I got back in the country to resume aerial photography the helicopter sat on the ground for 2 days waiting for my dirty camera to be returned. They wouldn't even send it overnite with the airbill and company account provided. A call to the 'customer care center', funny name, connected me with an officious matron who said "they don't call customers and this is what all the companies do". Oh really. I just got funding to start my own company... Here's what I'm going to do... Nikon.
