Troy Lawn Mowers Complaint - Back Ordered Parts - Troy Lawn Mower Model. 12A1667Q011

Review by knights on 2008-09-11
PENSACOLA, FLORIDA -- I purchased a Troy lawn mower (model # 12A1867Q011) in June of this year.

Two months later the transmission went out. Took the mower to the authourized repair shop.
TWO weeks later they called to tell me that the transmission was bad, it would have to be replaced.
I said fine, when can I pick up my lawn mower. They told me, whenever the replacement transmission came in. The &^(#$2 thing was on back order. Keep in mind that this was a NEW lawn mower.

This tells me that there are a whole lot of Troy lawn mowers with bad transmissions out there. So many that they can't produce enough transmission. Screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me. I guess you can understand why, if it was the middle of hurricane season and Troy was giving away generators, I would go without power before I would use anything sold by Troy. By the way, my lemom mower was purchased at the Lowe's in Pensacola Fl loacated on Airport Blvd. Needless to say they were of no help either.

Thanks for letting me vent. I feel like I could go out and cut my yard.......oh, my bad I don't have a mower.

Seems like a recall is in order...if there are that many...hopefully your issue is resolved shortly.

Lightly used machine. Transmission gear stripped. Replacement assembly excessively priced.
