Greenwood Academy of Hair Complaint - Salon Pedicure $20 - Beauty Salon

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- I went to the Greenwood Academy of Hair & Skin, whose motto is "to provide quality services in an educational setting" (students provide services for less the cost than a regular service) to get a $20 Salon Pedicure....& it was quite frankly the worst pedicure I have ever had. The woman giving the pedicure had been a student for 4 months & she didn't know how to remove calluses, the excess skin around the nail bed wasn't removed, & my nails weren't clipped and filed. The only thing that was done was applying lots of lotions and scrubs, & then applying the base coat. I thought maybe she was going to clip and file my nails before she put on the nail color....but no! When she reached for the top coat I realized my cuticles were not going to be pushed back, clipped or removed, my toenails were not going to be clipped and filed. I then left....explained to the woman at the front desk that the woman giving me the pedicure wasn't trained and was met with chilly, even hostile reception. She wouldn't even look me in the eye & did not apologize. I will never be going back there again....& I warn everyone else to stay away. Also, their sign outside said they were an Aveda salon, but Aveda products were not used during my pedicure.

Geez! Ever heard the phrase, "you get what you pay for"? If you knew how a pedicure should be performed, why didn't you talk to the technician? He/she is in school to learn -that means not just from instructors but from customers also.
