Coopers Furniture Complaint - Poor customer Service @ Coopers Furniture
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA -- We have purchased over 6000.00 worth of furniture from this Local business, in Cary NC. The sales staff are all very nice and knowledgeable. The problem comes if you need to have any service work done. The first time We needed foam replaced on our couch. When I went to pick it up the manager actually yelled at me! How dare I want to replace the foam... it was "good enough" Please keep in mind that this sofa had a 10 year warranty with Lazy Boy, the store was simply doing the work! I complained to the owner and he said maybe manager was having a bad day (I'll say!) when I spend three thousand dollars on a sofa and love seat frankly I expect to be treated a little better! Now, we have purchased another sofa and love seat ( I know you would think I had learned) Charged me 2X for delivery and refused to work with me. I am wondering if this person was ticked off about the sale of this furniture. See, I bought it on Tuesday and on Thursday they called me and told me that the loveseat was going to be 300.00 more than the contract price. When I balked at this ( I had a signed contract of sale) I thought the matter had ended, but maybe not. Then when I told them that the mechanism on sofa was not functioning person on phone accused me of making it up to get back at them.. (spell paranoid please). When I wondered if this was the same manager I had dealt with before (please no!) the man informed me that no, he was the owner. Then told me that maybe I should shop for furniture somewhere else. Funny thing is... I agree. So should anyone considering furniture purchases. A store should be as happy to see a customer with a problem as they are to see the guy with money in his hand. That is how you develop a loyal clientelle. You many never know this unless you have a problem with the furniture that you purchase. Then watch out because Coopers Furniture does not want anything to do with you. Being an independent store they answer to no one so can treat their customers any way they want to and Do!
